Fly into Fairbanks and pick up your rental car. Explore Fairbanks on your own before heading out on an all-night guided northern lights viewing tour. Overnight Fairbanks.
Enjoy a leisurely morning before bundling up to see the sites of Fairbanks. Check out the Museum of the North or rent cross country skis and head onto Fairbanks' fantastic Nordic trail system. Tonight you're off to Chena Hot Springs for a night of hot springs soaking and watching for the northern lights. Overnight Fairbanks.
Today you'll make your way from Fairbanks to Anchorage. The drive will take you most of the day, so be sure to break up the scenic miles with a stop at Denali National Park. Here you can visit the Murie Science and Learning Center or take a brisk hike through the park's beautiful frontcountry. Overnight Anchorage.
