Welcome to your Alaska parks adventure! Settle into your lodging and get a good rest, tomorrow kicks off your epic trip in an epic way. Overnight Anchorage.
What better way to start than with an iconic Alaska experience: A floatplane ride to go bear viewing at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park. Overnight Anchorage.
Your second day of bear viewing kicks off with a flight from Lake Hood Seaplane Base to Chinitna Bay. Here you'll observe bears hunting for clams and grazing on sedge grass, quite a different setting from Brooks Falls. Overnight Anchorage.
Pick up your rental vehicle in the morning and enjoy a leisurely drive to Seward. Take your time and enjoy the views along the way. Overnight Seward.
Spend the morning on a guided kayak trip along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay. When you return to land, grab lunch and then make your way to the Exit Glacier Nature Center in Kenai Fjords National Park to view Exit Glacier. Overnight Seward.
Take your time on today's drive back to Anchorage and on toward Palmer. This evening you'll take a helicopter flightseeing tour with a landing on the Knik Glacier, then return to your private cabin at the Alaska Glacier Lodge.
Today's roadtrip is a longer one, and a bit adventurous too thanks to the McCarthy Road, but it ends with great reward at the Kennicott Glacier Lodge in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
Join a guide for a hike and glacier trek on the Root Glacier in the morning. Explore the Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark on your own in the afternoon, or head down to the tiny town of McCarthy for a taste of local life. Overnight at the Kennicott Glacier Lodge.
Hit the road again, this time up the Richardson Highway through North Pole to Fairbanks. Overnight Fairbanks.
Consider this your down day. There's nothing scheduled, but plenty to do if you'd like: Chena Hot Springs, the Museum of the North, Pioneer Park, and much more. Overnight Fairbanks.
Return your car in Fairbanks in the morning, then join a flyout tour north of the Arctic Circle. You won't have the chance to go into Gates of the Arctic, but you will see its vast expanse and unique landscapes from the air. Overnight Fairbanks.
Relax onboard a deluxe dome train as you take in the sights (and leave the "driving" to someone else) on the way to Denali National Park. Overnight Denali Park area.
Today take a narrated wildlife bus tour, enjoying a half day of looking for grizzly bears, Dall sheep, caribou, moose, and more in Denali National Park. Overnight Denali Park area.
It's the last leg of your incomparable Alaska parks adventure. You're taking a motorcoach back to Anchorage where your trip concludes.
