From the misty blue waters of the Whittier harbor you'll head out on the morning Park Connection Motorcoach bound for Denali National Park. The comfortable coach leaves Whittier by the two-mile, single-lane Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, entering Portage Valley and eventually the Turnagain Arm on the other side. After a brief break in downtown Anchorage, the Park Connection continues north to the Denali Park area. Overnight Denali.

Today you'll experience the full wonder of Denali National Park on a bus trip down the park's only road. The fully guided tour passes through moose, caribou, wolf, and grizzly country. Overnight Denali.

There's no need for coffee this morning, you're starting your day with a raft trip down the Nenana River. Later on you'll continue your trip north, taking the Denali Star train route into Fairbanks. The leg starts by winding through the canyon you rafted earlier, so keep your camera handy. The twists and turns make for great train photo ops.

You'll arrive in Fairbanks late evening. Settle into your private cottage accommodations for the next two nights. Overnight Fairbanks.

Part historical, part cultural, and part relaxing, your guided tour today takes you 60 miles out of Fairbanks to the Chena Hot Springs Resort. With a bit of a twist, your first visit at the resort is to the Aurora Ice Museum. It's the largest year-round indoor ice environment in the world. The day also includes a hot springs tour and two leisurely hours to soak and swim. Overnight Fairbanks.

This morning you'll board the train for a scenic ride south. You'll arrive in Talkeetna in the late afternoon.

Denali, the highest mountain in North America, is only 50 miles away by air. This evening you'll soar among the peaks and glaciers surrounding it on an hour-long flightseeing tour from the Talkeetna Airport. The scenery is simply beyond compare. Overnight Talkeetna.

Explore Talkeetna on your own this morning before catching the Park Connection Motorcoach heading south to Anchorage. The package concludes with a final overnight in Anchorage.
