The trip begins with a transfer from the Whittier cruise terminal to Talkeetna. Once you've disembarked your Whittier cruise, board the Park Connection Motorcoach just outside the cruise terminal. Settle in for a ride as comfortable as it is scenic. The trip includes a midday break in Anchorage. Overnight Talkeetna.

With luck you caught a glimpse of Denali and the Alaska Range on your drive yesterday. This morning's glacier landing and flightseeing trip brings you deep within that wild vista. Up close, the landscape is otherworldly, the peaks massive, and the glaciers seemingly endless. You'll return to the Talkeetna Airport after about an hour of flying.

Talkeetna is an offbeat little town with lots of personality. There are many of good places to eat, too, so grab lunch and pick up a few snacks for the road before catching the early evening Park Connection Motorcoach to the Denali Park area. Overnight Denali.

You'll rise early this morning for the Denali area's must-do experience, a guided bus tour into the park. The trip follows the Park Road. There's a good chance to spot wildlife, along with some of the park's most sensational landscapes. Overnight Denali.

This morning you'll take to calm stretches of the Nenana River on an early raft trip. The water is mellow and the riverside scenery quite serene at the earlier hour.

At midday, board the southbound train. The route south crisscrosses the highway, venturing into remote areas so that much of the way you're seeing entirely new scenery. Keep your camera handy as onboard car hosts narrate and call out upcoming views throughout the ride. Your package concludes with a final overnight in Anchorage.
