Alaska Jeep & ATV Tours
Alaskans count on all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) for many activities in otherwise road-free backcountry areas. These rugged machines traverse steep or rocky terrain with ease and make it possible to ramble through some wild lands. The same goes for Jeeps. Alaska ATV and Jeep tours are fully guided, with Jeep tours an excellent choice for families. Whichever experience you choose, know that you'll be in the company of wild, enormous Alaska, and the rewards will be in the sweeping landscape before you.
The Denali Highway Jeep Excursion is a narrated exploration of the dirt "highway" that connects one side of Alaska's Interior region to the other. Covering 100 miles in five hours, the self-drive tour is led by a guide carrying a two-way radio so that all guests can keep in touch and learn about this beautiful, historic area.
Some ATVs are known as side-by-sides, setting passengers next to each other on bench seats in a more traditional style of travel. Part go-kart, part four-wheeler, and all fun, Denali ATV side-by-side tours take guests on an adventure in off-roading. Choose the Trailblazer Adventure for a longer trip or the Wilderness Tour if you're either new to off-roading or short on time.
For solo ATV adventure, try driving your own ATV on a four-wheeler tour. Both side-by-sides and single ATVs travel together on the same tours, making these excursions especially popular with families or groups of friends.
An ATV tour is an excellent addition to a Denali National Park visit. Note that lodging in and around the park should be secured well in advance during the busy season between May and September. Alaska Tour & Travel can assist with information and booking lodging around Denali National Park, as well as transportation to the park on the Park Connection Motorcoach or Alaska Railroad.
