Soldotna Hotels
The Kenai River flows into Cook Inlet at the town of Soldotna, making this friendly community one of the most popular places to fish and recreate in all of Alaska. That it is easily reachable by rental car on the scenic Sterling Highway only makes it more of must-go destination.
The Soldotna Aspen Hotel represents one of the best lodging options in Soldotna. It is an all-suite property with rooms that feature a kitchenette stocked with basic cookware plus a microwave and full-size fridge. It is also centrally located within town and convenient to designated fishing areas on the Kenai River.
Soldotna is a nice place to overnight when traveling between Anchorage or Seward and Homer. Along the way you'll pass through Cooper Landing, a smaller community that's also perched on the Kenai River. From Soldotna it's under two hours to Homer and about three to Anchorage.
