- Stoney Creek Canopy Adventure Seward Zipline
Overview
The Stoney Creek Canopy Adventure Zipline tour begins with a shuttle ride out of Seward to the course's welcome center. The lesson is basic but helpful, with each participant practicing the basics of traversing and braking. After a few practice runs, the group heads up the valley to the start of the course.
Zip 1,100 feet from valley walls to spruce trees.
The Stoney Creek zipline's unique course starts up high in a valley and works its way down through a series of zigzagging zips. The first is the tamest, with each subsequent one becoming longer, faster, and even more thrilling. The lengthiest runs an exhilarating 1,100 feet from the valley wall to a platform in a Sitka Spruce tree. From these treetops, there are beautiful views of Seward's surrounding mountains and glaciers.
After this high perch, the course dips underneath the tree canopy. This area is a temperate rainforest lush with huge trees and foliage. Guests take their first rappels and traverse several aerial walkways within this rather magical setting. The last suspension bridge of the course traverses the welcome area. Guests wrap up their thrill ride with a final 40-foot rappel back to solid ground.
