The transfer takes the Glenn Highway out of Anchorage and north along the Chugach Mountains. Cutting onto the Old Glenn, this smaller road weaves through a frosty forest and along the icy Knik River. Just like in summer, it's not uncommon to see wildlife, especially moose, on the drive. A return transfer to Anchorage takes the same route out.

The winter lodge transfer offers five daily trips out from and back to Anchorage. The shuttle stops at the Lakefront Hotel, Aloft, Springhill Midtown, Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage, downtown at 4th Avenue & F Street, and the Hotel Captain Cook.
