The Knik River Road ends at the Alaska Glacier Lodge, a remote property an hour's drive from Anchorage. The setting is as peaceful and picturesque as they come. Mountains rise above the braided river valley to the north, and a forest of spruce trees border the landscaped space to the south. Daily helicopter tours into the nearby glaciated Alaskan wilderness leave from the pad below the lodge.

The Alaska Glacier Lodge offers spacious private cabins with one bed (either king or queen) or two queens. These cabins define rustic chic, with smooth wood plank walls, minimalist décor, and luxurious bedding. Every cabin has its own north-facing deck, the perfect place to rest after a day exploring nearby Palmer, beautiful Hatcher Pass, and the Independence Mine State Historical Park.
As a farm-to-table eatery, the onsite Raven's Perch Restaurant showcases the best of Alaska's unique culinary offerings. Nearly all ingredients are grown and harvested in nearby Palmer. The restaurant serves a complimentary continental breakfast for guests, lunch, and dinner. Lunch brings a selection of tasty sandwiches and salads or a pre-ordered sack lunch for guests heading out for the day. In the evening, the restaurant puts together carefully crafted seasonal entrees. Meals are complemented by wine or local craft beers and sweet treats to finish.

The Alaska Glacier Lodge is located in the heart of the Knik River Valley about 55 miles northeast of the Anchorage airport. Despite its proximity to Anchorage, this is a remote lodge offering the peacefulness of limited connectivity. The property consists of a main day lodge with restaurant and 22 private cabins.

All cabins come with either one bed (a king or queen) or two queens, a full private bathroom, TV and DVD player, mini fridge, coffee maker, electric water kettle, cups, coffee, and tea. Onsite amenities include a complimentary continental breakfast, DVD library, complimentary WiFi in the day lodge and restaurant, tour desk, and access to guest laundry. There are maintained trails on property for guests to enjoy.
