Overview

Perched high on the side of Sugarloaf Mountain, the Grande Denali Lodge's name rings true. The location is as grand as they come. Panoramic views of the Nenana River Canyon and rolling mountains beyond awe guests. Nearly every spot in the main lodge provides a viewpoint, from the chairs around the rock fireplace in the lobby, to the seats at the bar.

The Grande Denali offers 166 comfortable guest rooms in two buildings, the Denali Lodge and Kodiak Lodge. Denali Lodge rooms are the closest to the main lodge. The building itself houses the guest laundry, ice machines, and public computers. Rooms in the Kodiak Lodge have exterior entrances and mountain views.

The Alpenglow Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an airy timber room with spectacular views. The menus offer refined and delectable dishes that showcase Alaskan ingredients. Snacks and coffee are available at the Peak Espresso stand inside the main lobby. Guests can also place orders for box lunches to take along while exploring Denali National Park by bus.

The Grande Denali Lodge property consists of the main lobby and two separate guest room buildings. The hotel provides luggage assistance and transportation to accommodations as needed. The Grande is located three miles from the Denali National Park Visitor Center. Although some rooms provide beautiful views, no Denali Park hotel has views of Denali.

Grande Denali Lodge rooms have either one king or two queen beds. All accommodations have a full private bath, hair dryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, refrigerator, telephone, and coffee maker. Onsite amenities include a guest laundry, tour desk, computer stations, espresso stand, and full-service restaurant and bar. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property.

Transfers and Shuttles

Shuttle service to/from the Denali Train Station is included with your stay. Guests arriving by train will be met by hotel staff at the depot. Guests arriving by Park Connection motorcoach will be dropped off at the hotel. Free parking is available for guests driving their own vehicles. Many local tour operators pick up at the hotel.
