- Denali Cabin Nite Dinner Theater
Overview
A song of welcome and the clang of a dinner bell invite guests to the Cabin Nite Dinner Theater in Denali Village. The dinner and show take place in a reconstructed wood plank roadhouse set up with long tables and benches. As guests settle in and get to know their fellow tablemates, the evenings meal is served. The down-home dinner features wild caught Alaskan salmon and barbecue ribs. Sides include smashed potatoes, deconstructed corn on the cob, old-fashioned baked beans, cheddar drop biscuits, and fresh tossed salad. To finish the hearty family-style meal, servers bring out hot coffee and wild berry cobbler topped with generous dollops of sweet whipped cream.
Colorful storytelling, spirited music, and cheeky humor.
The show starts as dinner winds down. Performers pull triple duty as servers, actors, and musicians, and now they take to the stage to tell a true-to-life Gold Rush tale of adventure in early 1900s Alaska. The story stars Fannie Quigley, a real-life heroine with a surly streak, and her colorful husband and neighbors. It's a charming performance full of spirited music, cheeky humor, and just a touch of poetic license.
The audience plays part in the show, too, so guest participation is to be expected. With all the lighthearted interaction, it's not difficult to imagine what a remote Alaskan roadhouse must have been like back in the day. Guests leave with new friends, and even the gruff Fannie finishes the performance with a smile.

Guest Feedback
"I got to play a moose! What more could I ask for? Salmon dinner was really well prepared. Show was big fun. I was skeptical about this when I first saw it on the schedule, but I would recommend it highly to anyone now."
