Viking Orion Overview
The Viking Orion's Scandinavian design and interior decor provides a classy, subtle, and sophisticated environment. The ship's cabins all have verandas, king size beds, and many small amenities not found in most ships' standard cabins. Considered "almost all inclusive," the Viking Orion includes beer and wine at lunch and dinner. All meals, which often feature local ingredients, are also included, as is one shore excursion at each port of call. Traditional entertainment is on the light side, with programming instead focused on educational experiences that further immerse passengers in Alaska's rich natural history.
The Orion sales on a 10-day cruise between Vancouver, BC, and Seward, Alaska. Ports of call include Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka, Skagway, Valdez, and Icy Strait, with an additional day cruising Hubbard Glacier. Unique to Alaska cruises, all sailings include an overnight stay in Seward, Alaska, which provides the opportunity to explore Kenai Fjords National Park.
