Passengers come aboard this seven-day cruise in Whittier. Located on Prince William Sound, this tiny coastal community is bordered by the Chugach Mountains and many, many glaciers.
In route to the Inside Passage, the voyage spends part of its first day at sea alongside Hubbard Glacier. Here, passengers often see an exciting display of hundred-foot-high hunks of ice calving into the blue bay water. They call this "white thunder" for good reason.
